The Other Side Of The Coin

The BBC reports the death of a police officer who died on duty. It would not be proper to comment, under the sub judice rule, as people have been charged in connection with the incident.
This is a dreadful time for the officer's family, and must be traumatic for his friends and colleagues.
The officer put himself in harm's way to protect the public, and we should be grateful for that. At a time when the police are under huge pressure, this was an example of a man who died on duty in a worthy cause.
